The sponge is 1-2mm smaller than original. You won't notice the difference unless you keep both side by side. Take caution when replacing so that you won't damage the rings present the headphones which give isolation for noise cancellation. My noise cancellation is affected probably because I damaged the lining of the rings while replacing. Still I'm not noticing any noise cancellation difference unless there isn't any audio playing. Looks great!
The earpads fit the headphone perfectly and are really comfortable.
